01 — THE DESIGN

In that decade, a timer did not tell the time. It measured it.

The 1960s were the golden age of the racing chronograph. There was no electronic timing on the circuit — drivers and co-drivers trusted a mechanical instrument on the wrist. The instant the pusher went down, time and speed were bound together; the tachymeter let you read average speed as you crossed a measured mile.

RC-60 keeps that decade’s design language intact: the tachymeter printed on the dial, a three-register layout, and cylindrical pushers with a crisp, decisive return.

02 — THE DIAL

Matte black with a tachymeter scale printed on the outer edge of the dial — not on a rotating bezel, the most distinctive signature of early-1960s racing chronographs.

03 — THE CASE

38.5 mm stainless steel case with alternating polish and brushing: a polished bezel against brushed flanks. Cylindrical pushers — heftier than the squared pushers of today — with a clean mechanical return.

04 — THE MOVEMENT

Miyota 6S20 quartz chronograph movement, Japan. Chronograph functions with a 1/20-second counter, a 60-minute counter and small seconds, with the chronograph seconds at centre. No date window — hidden by design. Accuracy within ±20 seconds per year, battery life approximately 4 years.

05 — THE CRYSTAL

Box-style domed K1 crystal, throwing a long, thin reflection in low light. Solid case back.

06 — THE STRAP

Black leather strap, 20 mm lug width, fitted to a 38.5 mm case.
