PHG is an independent watch brand founded in Guangzhou in 2025. We take the design language of classic military and tool watches of the 20th century and reinterpret it with modern materials and manufacturing – so the character of these watches can be worn every day.
ONE VINTAGE WATCH
STARTED IT ALL.
PHG’s founder, Louis Liu, has always been fascinated by vintage watches, especially military timepieces. Eventually, he bought an antique military watch of his own. He loved its character. He loved its history. He also spent considerable time and money having it restored.
But after wearing it regularly, he discovered a frustrating reality: even a beautifully restored vintage watch is not necessarily easy to wear every day.
That contradiction stayed with him: why should the watches with the best stories be the ones you can’t actually live with?
PHG was founded in Guangzhou in 2025 to explore a different answer. Not to simply reproduce the past – but to make its character wearable again.

That is why we pay close attention to case proportions, legibility, comfort, materials, movement selection, finishing, and long-term reliability.
